Job Centre[]

The Job Centre is a facility in the City of Marada where pets can work have their owners gain wages once per day, per pet.

Each job has its own qualifications needed, with additional qualifications needed later for promotion, which in turn will pay a higher income. Each pet will also receive a Trophy for each career when they are promoted to level 15, along with a Job Perk when they are promoted to level 20.

Pet Health: If a pet is regularly sick, neglected, or imprisoned, they will not be able to work or collect wages.

Job Promotion Random Event: Sometimes, a random event will show up for one of the owner's pets to get a promotion.

More information: Perhaps some of the easiest jobs to get are the Banker or the Chef jobs, however they have some of the most mediocre pays. If possible, make sure to grab a job as a Firefighter, Police Officer, Journalist or Actor as soon as a pet gets the qualifications for it.

Update Log[]

25th October 2005 - There are 12 new Jobs now available at the Job Centre. We have finally released Job Promotions, which means that a new random event will show up for your pet to move to a higher position than the one they are currently in.
17th February 2009 - We have improved the way that the Job Centre and Promotions work. We were not happy with the old system and decided a complete overhaul of them was necessary. There are 24 different Jobs available all the time - if you pet has the correct stats required. The stats required for jobs are now Gym/Elite Gym stats, education (School and University), Learnables, Spells, Instruments, Charisma and Magic. The Promotions are now random events that are a lot less rare to show up. Whenever you reach Level 15 in a Job, your pet's profile will receive a Trophy for this Job! And, of course, the Job Centre is now glitch-free and all of your pet's old jobs have been reset for this new system.
19th November 2010 (City of Marada Recession) - The City of Marada is in turmoil! The city Job Centre has stopped paying wages to all of its employees - they still have jobs, but until the economy improves, all employees are on mandatory unpaid leave from work. Maradans are desperately waiting for the King of Marada to step in and do something about it!
There have been talks of more strikes, bankruptcies and even threat of a civil war breaking out across Marada, as other worlds are starting to get hit by the side effects of the City's recession. Hopefully something is done about this soon, we would hate for it to lead to a war or a deep, long term depression...
27th March 2014 - The Job Centre in the City of Marada has been improved with new artwork.
1st May 2017 - After many months of improvements, the Job Centre is finally back! There have many many changes, such as:
- You can now collect all of your pet's Wages at once at the click of a button.
- At the Job Centre you can see all of your pets that are working, their job, level and wages, and any pending promotions.
- Looking for a Job? You can now click any Job to see if you have unemployed pets who qualify for these jobs.
- All 24 Jobs can now be promoted up to Level 20 - earning more MP the higher you go! Additionally, when you reach Level 20 of any job, you will unlock a new Job Perk. Different jobs have a different perk to be earned. More information about these is explained below.
- If your pet is not cared for properly, you will not be able to collect wages.
- With the new and improved Random Events, Job Promotions are much more frequent.
- A new Career History feature has been added for future use. All jobs your pet has from now on will be logged in this history, showing the maximum level of promotion for each job.

	Try to apply for any Job that at least one of your pets is unqualified for.
Job Promotion Crystal Ball	Use a Job Promotion Crystal Ball and the next Random Event you receive will be about a Job Promotion. This does not guarantee that the Random Event will promote your pet.

Freelance Agency[]

The Freelance Agency is a facility in Vortex Park where users can earn MP from performing freelance work.

There are over 5,000 different Jobs that can appear at random, each one lasting anywhere between 30 minutes and 3 hours and paying anywhere between 25MP-100,000MP for completing them. Pets with a full-time Job from the Job Centre can complete Freelance Jobs as well. However, only one pet can use the Freelance Agency at a time.

There are high scores for Jobs Completed and Total Wages Earned.

Contest: Every Sunday, there is a new Weekly Job Contest for total wages earned from Freelance Jobs.
